Bluestones Staffing are partnering with Lisburn & Castlereagh Council to hire an Assistant Arts Information & Education Officer on a part-time basis for a temporary fixed term contract until March 2025. An extension is also possible depending on workload.

Hours: Part-time – 2x full days on Monday & Tuesday, half day Wednesday morning
Job Type: Temporary via Agency until 31st March 2025
Rate of Pay: £14.17 per hour
Start Date: Monday 23rd September (TBC)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance and evaluation of administrative and promotional information for the Arts Service and for communicating directly with clients in relation to the effective delivery of the Arts Service, both at the Centre and on an outreach basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake administrative tasks using a range of computerised software systems
  • Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports / questionnaries
  • Undertake marketing analytics techniques to gather important data through social media, web analytics, rankings etc
  • Updating spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
  • Assist in the organisation of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns, as well as preparing and delivering promotional materials and presentations when required
  • Assist with the organisation of Arts Education projects and the event management of all Arts Services activities
  • Participating in the interchange of duties to cover for staff breaks, sickness, leave, vacancies, training etc

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in arts administration
  • Five GCSE passes, grade A-C, NVQ L2 or equivalent
  • Enhanced Access NI to be completed by candidate in advance
  • Competent in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Calender
  • Experience in the use of social media platforms and applications
  • Ability to plan, structure, and prioritise own work to achieve results
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends if required

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the leisure industry.
