Bluestones Staffing are partnering with a leading company in Toome to recruit a Maintenance Fitter. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a successful local business.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; 10am – 8pm (flexibility to change)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Rate of Pay: £15.88 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring effective maintenance of all equipment and facilities to maximise equipment availability
- Completing all electrical & mechanical repairs whilst minimising downtime to ensure smooth running of production plan where possible
- Fault finding on equipment and plant to determine root causes of failures, and working with OEM’s when required in order to do so and to safely return equipment to service
- Assisting with the development of planned maintenance schedules for all equipment
- Working with production to increase availability of equipment
- Participating in information sharing and team work to improve facilities continuously
- Supporting the installation of new equipment and plant where relevant
- Promoting best practice standards for good housekeeping and reporting non-compliance
- Ensuring compliance with company HSEQ policies & procedures, as well as safe systems of work and legislative requirements
- Taking personal responsibility for safety and ensuring risks are eliminated where possible
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Previous experience with MIG Welding
- Previous experience with Fabrication
- Flexible for call outs where required
- Full clean UK Drivers’ License
