Main purpose of job

To be responsible to the Community Development Officer for the supervision of access to the centre and its environs, to respond to requests from the public and to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and the good appearance of the building and its environs.

To ensure accurate and timely production of all necessary documentation, reports and official returns.

To act as a main key-holder.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms, be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least six months’ relevant experience in each of the following areas:

  1. operation of facilities ideally in a supervisory capacity, that is, health and safety procedures, cleaning and maintenance and associated administrative duties; and
  2. dealing with members of the public.

Short-listing Criteria

In addition to the above experience, Belfast City Council reserves the right to shortlist only those applicants who, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms, can demonstrate on the application form by providing personal and specific examples, at least one year’s relevant experience in the two areas outlined above (1) and (2).
