Bluestones is working with a leading distrubution in the Newry area and due to continued growth they have a requirement for 2x HGV Class 2 driver
Hours Monday to Friday and one in every 3 Saturdays
4/5am start to Finish
Salary £15.07 phr
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while following all traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company standards.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on the road or in the warehouse environment.
Must be happy to do heavy lifting as handball work will be involved
Essential Criteria
Must have a minimum 3 months experience
Must have a valid CPC and Digi Taco card
Must be happy to do Multi Drop work
