We are looking to recruit a CAD Technician / Project Co-Ordinator to join our Technical Department
to assist with the design and detailing of a range of Precast Concrete Products.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
• Producing customer approval drawings and documents in relation to precast concrete
drainage products and accessories
• Producing manufacture drawings and details for the production team
• Reading and interpreting customer drawings and producing a breakdown of the materials
required
• Managing projects and maintaining project records
• Organising and prioritising projects based on customer requirements
• Carrying out surveys of buildings, products & moulds, and compiling associated drawings
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and colleagues
• Ensuring work output conforms to specifications and standard/code requirements
• Assisting with drawing & technical queries
• Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job
• Carrying out other reasonable requests made by the manager to support departmental or
company objectives
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company
• Ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies including Health & Safety

Essential Criteria:
• English & Maths GCSE or equivalent (Grade C or above)
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Good computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of
tasks concurrently
• Ability to work on own initiative, but understand level of responsibility within the team
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors & consultants
• Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Be a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to
work under their own direction or within a team of professionals
Desirable Criteria:
• Specific AutoCAD qualification
• Experience of working in civil engineering or precast concrete manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering products (eg Drainage pipes/manhole/shafts/cover slabs)
• Experience in a BIM software package (Tekla or Revit)
• Knowledge of British Standards & Eurocodes
• Willingness to continue personal development
• Hold a valid Driving licence
