BSNI is working with a number of manufacturing sites to recruit a number of Maintenance Engineers:

About the company:

Our clients manufacture world-leading composite components. Our customer
base spans major OEMs in a range of sectors such as automotive, medical, transport and construction. Behind the scenes, our state-of-the-art equipment includes the largest compression moulding presses in the UK, robotic cells, 5-axis CNC machines, conveyorized paint lines and advanced assembly fixtures.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be given responsibility of all preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as playing a key role in exciting new projects.

Duties:

• Managing mechanical, electrical repairs and breakdowns whilst avoiding downtime to ensure
manufacturing efficiency is maintained

• Working on single and 3 phase electrical systems, invertors, drives, relays, PLC’s, motors, robots

• Interpreting electrical drawings to aid fault finding.

• Proactive planning and reactive maintenance across an automated plant

• Project work to improve machine availability and reduce downtime.

• Identifying problems on machinery / equipment and carrying out effective permanent repairs

• Liaising with external service engineers and contractors as required

Essential Criteria:

• Must be a Time/Skill-Served Mechanical / Electrical Engineer with Industrial Experience.
• Experience of Fabrication.
• Experience in the use of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Conversant with PLCs and SCADA experience
• Previous proven electrical experience
• Excellent time keeping record.
• Willingness to hit set targets.
• Desire to learn & progress within the company

You will have the opportunity to:
• Contribute to the delivery of conceptual designs, detail designs and manufacturing specifications.
• Support the team with minor and major maintenance work.
• Carry out electrical regulatory maintenance.
• Organise personal training and identify development opportunities.
• Carry out safety related roles.
• Expand your role into the Control and Instrumentation field if desired

Week 1 & 2 0700 -1500hrs Mon – Thurs and Fri 0530 – 1200 hrs. Week 3 & 4 1500 – 2300 hrs. Mon – Thurs
and Fri 1200 – 1830hrs. Weeks 5 & 6 2300 – 0700 Sun to Wed and 2300 hrs. Thursday night – 0530 Fri.
• £19.38 per hour plus enhanced OT rate
