Hours of work:
DAYS:
Monday – Thursday: 7am – 3pm
Friday: 5.30am – 12pm
EVENINGS –
Monday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm
Friday: 12pm – 6.30pm
NIGHTS –
Monday – Thursday: 11pm – 7am
Friday: 11pm – 5.30am
Rate of pay:
£13.66 – £14.41 per hour depending on shift.
Job duties:
Operate a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing.
Process steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances. Work within the company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders.
Able to work to high standards under your own initiative and pressure.
Working as part of our team of operators, processing steel to order, as and when orders are generated.
Loading, off Loading of plate and parts from the plasma machines
Identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment.
Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy
Ensure you adhere to all current Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy.
Report any accidents and incidents to production Manager / Supervisor
Report any machine faults / breakdowns to the production Supervisor or Manager
Comply with all Company Quality policies and procedures.
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Press Operator or similar role
Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
Ability to interpret and understand complex documents.
Keen attention to detail
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Press Operator
