Bluestones Staffing are partnering with our established client in the wholesale distribution sector to hire a Warehouse Operations Support Clerk to cover maternity leave. This is a full-time position and involves primarily night-shifts.
Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10pm – 6am
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing via Agency
Rate of Pay: £12.53 per hour
Target Start Date: 24 November 2024 (TBC)
About the role…
The Warehouse Operations Support Clerk will assist in the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks within the warehouse to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. This role is vital for supporting warehouse staff, managing documentation, and ensuring inventory and order data are accurately tracked. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing an effective and efficient service to all suppliers, customers and colleagues
- Carrying out all functions relating to the warehouse including order scheduling, assembly, replenishment, invoicing, stock enquiries, administration etc
- Ensuring all waste, losses, and damages are kept to a minimum
- Promoting a positive company image through accuracy, knowledge, and attitude
- Having a flexible and adjustable attitude in order to cover work outside of normal working hours
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in Admin / Office Environment
- Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work to deadlines and work on own initiative to organize shift duties
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient in using various IT systems including Microsoft Office packages and spreadsheets
- Access to own transport preferred
