Job description
BSNI have fantastic opportunities for production and machine operatives for our client based in Antrim.

Hours & Rate of pay:

· Week 1 – Mon, Tues Wed – 6am – 6pm

· Week 2 – Thurs, Fri, Sat – 6am -6pm

· £11.44 phr depending on experience

· Rate of pay increases once pass probation period

Job duties:

· Prepare and set up gluing machines according to specifications, including adjusting settings for temperature, pressure, speed, and glue application.

· Load materials (such as paper, cardboard, or wood) into the machine and ensure they are aligned properly for efficient production.

· Adjust the machine to meet the required standards of the product, such as the width of glue application and thickness of the material.

· Start the machine and oversee the entire process to ensure smooth operation.

· Monitor the machine while in operation, watching for irregularities like misaligned materials, glue overflow, or machine jams.

· Ensure a consistent and even application of glue to avoid defects in the final product.

· Adjust machine settings as necessary during the production run for optimal performance.

· Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

· Check for proper adhesion, accurate alignment, and uniform glue application.

· Follow safety protocols for operating heavy machinery and handling adhesives.

· Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.

· Use protective gear, such as gloves and safety glasses, to prevent exposure to chemicals and adhesives.
