Bluestones Staffing NI has partnered with The Department for the Economy to provide specialised training designed to equip unemployed people with the skills needed to compete for new job opportunities.
Bluestones Staffing NI, based in Cookstown, is working in conjunction with The Department for the Economy to deliver a four-week programme aimed at those who are unemployed and seeking the skills needed to pursue new employment opportunities.
Bridge to Employment is a custom programme designed to provide trainees with a sound understanding of the tasks involved as a Production Operative including production and supply chain processes, health and safety and team skills. All trainees who successfully complete the training will be guaranteed an interview with Bluestones Staffing NI with a view to offering permanent employment.
The training is underpinned by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Institute of Leadership and Management. Trainees who successfully complete the programme will also receive an industry recognised qualification.
Bluestones Staffing NI Director, Kieran Allmark, said, “The training is an exciting blend of theory and practical experience delivered through an intensive programme based at our head office and our clients’ sites in Cookstown. The course is designed to provide the trainee with a sound understanding of the tasks involved as a Production Operative.”
The great thing about Bridge to Employment is that we are able to spend 4 weeks getting to know our applicants and they are able to spend the time really getting to know our business and the roles within it. Following successful completion of the programme all candidates will be interviewed for a position with Bluestones Staffing and the opportunity for ongoing employment.
Any trainees who take part in the Bridge to Employment programme will be able to retain their benefits while in training, may be eligible for childcare allowance and will be reimbursed weekly travel expenses.
Application forms are also available at your local Jobs and Benefits Office. Applications close at 4.00pm on Thursday 5th April.
