BSNI have an excellent opportunity for our food manufacturing client based in Duncrue for Machine Operatives.
Hours of Work
This is a floating rota role at DFP and may involve working any shift within the following times:
Monday to Friday
6:00am – 2:00am
40 Hours Per Week
Please note that during peak business periods, shifts may extend to 5:00am or 6:00am.
If production is not completed by 2:00am, the temporary worker will be required to remain on site for overtime. This may run as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am, depending on business needs.
Rate of Pay
£14.75 per hour
Job Title: Machine Operator
Summary of Role
The Machine Operator will be responsible for carrying out routine mechanical tasks and ensuring the effective upkeep of machinery, with the aim of minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of the Production Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out machinery and equipment safety checks as required
Ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation of machinery
Transport goods and pallets across site using a counterbalance forklift
Emptying and Loading Lorries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records
Meet daily production requirements as instructed by the Production Management Team
Minimise downtime and waste
Operate a counterbalance forklift (experience required)
The Person
Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail with experience in record keeping
Good awareness of health and safety legislation
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Good standard of written and spoken English
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
