Job Description:
BSNI have fantastic opportunities for food general operatives based in Kilkeel.
Hours:
Monday to Friday – Day shifts
Part time and full time available.
Rate of pay: £12.21 phr
Job duties:
cleaning, filleting, skinning, and deboning fish according to specifications.
using cutting machines, conveyors, vacuum packers, and weighing equipment.
checking quality, size, and weight before packing.
Packing & labelling – portioning, vacuum-sealing, applying correct labels, and preparing products for freezing or dispatch.
following strict food safety and hygiene rules (HACCP procedures), ensuring equipment and work areas are sanitized.
unloading fish deliveries, storing products in cold storage/freezers, and moving stock as required
safely disposing of fish waste and by-products.
wearing protective clothing (PPE), using knives and machinery safely, and reporting hazards.
working efficiently on production lines to meet daily targets.
