Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and a Setting out Engineer to oversee and coordinate construction and engineering projects on-site. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties
Supervise daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards
Assist in planning project timelines and resource allocation to optimise efficiency
Resolve technical issues on-site promptly, leveraging electrical expertise where necessary
Maintain detailed records of site activities, including progress reports and safety documentation
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and company policies
Liaise regularly with project managers and design teams to facilitate smooth communication and project flow
Experience
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer or similar role within the construction or engineering sector
Strong electrical experience is highly desirable, with the ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and technical competence in engineering principles
Must have Total Station experience
Cad experience is essential
