Job Description:
Duties:
Picking products within the warehouse and preparing, processing, and completing orders for dispatch or delivery in line with daily schedules.
Packing orders to a high standard, ensuring all consignments are correctly labelled and accompanied by accurate documentation.
Inspecting outgoing and returned goods to identify any damage or defects.
Storing goods and moving stock manually or using a forklift truck as required.
Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory counts.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date paperwork and records.
Working at all times in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
Full driving licence.
Valid forklift truck certification.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A good standard of Maths and English.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure goods are dispatched in excellent condition.
Strong work ethic and reliable approach to work.
Physical stamina, as manual handling forms a key part of the role.
Desirable Skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
A conscientious, articulate, and methodical approach to tasks.
Experience
Previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment (minimum one year preferred).
Experience handling and sorting stock would be an advantage.
Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail to ensure products are dispatched in good condition.
