Job description:
BSNI have an excellent opportunity for our manufacturing client based in Lisburn for Press Operatives.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm & Fri 7am to 1pm
OR
Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.30pm
Rate of pay:
£13.25 – £17 per hour depending on experience
Job duties:
Prepare the press brake machine by selecting and installing the correct dies, tools, and settings based on the material type, thickness, and required bend angles.
Load metal sheets onto the press brake and ensure proper alignment to avoid defects during the bending process.
Operate the press brake machine, adjusting controls to apply the correct pressure and angle for accurate bends.
Operating a CNC press break – Amada
Check parts after bending for accuracy and quality, using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet specifications.
Perform adjustments or rework as needed to ensure precision and high-quality output.
Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment (wearing PPE, securing workpieces, etc.).
Regularly clean, maintain, and perform basic repairs on the press brake machine to ensure it runs efficiently and safely.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, machine settings, production counts, and any adjustments made during operations.
Candidate requirements:
Press Brake experience
Experience working to engineering drawings and dimensions
Experience of Amada Press Brake – advantageous
Knowledgeable of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment – preferred
