Key purpose of the job

The post holder is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and evaluation of administrative and promotional information for the Arts Service and for promotional information for the Art Service and for communicating directly with clients in relation to the effective delivery of the Arts Service both at ISLAND Arts Centre and on an outreach basis.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications & experience

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:

  1. Five GCSE passes, grade A-C, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  2. A minimum of three years’ experience of working in arts administration

Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of five years’ experience as outlined in 2 above.

Other

  • Competent in the use of Word for word processing and text production
  • Competent in the use of Excel, Outlook and Calendar
  • Experience in the use of social media
  • The ability to work evening and weekends, as and when required
  • A knowledge and understanding of the leisure industry
