Job description
BSNI have an exciting role for a Robotic Engineer working with our robotics welder, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role will involve a mixture of programming and other duties.

Currently the robotic welders run both aluminum assemblies and steel.

The cell can be programmed offline using DTPS software and online using the pendant to control the robot. The cell also incorporates an ARC EYE system for seam tracking, to detect weld positions. Full training will be given for offline and online programming, developing knowledge so that programming can be completed on a day-to-day basis, and support production issues.

Main duties

Develop programs for new assemblies using offline CAD DTPS software
Finding and fixing faults
Involved in testing of new products
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for build processes and troubleshooting guides
Hands on with the factory floor assisting builds with operators to developing knowledge of product range
Reviewing current programs to remove bugs and calculate cycle times
Building reports
Involved in Lean/5s projects
*Potential to train offsite with Valk Welding in Holland*
Essential Criteria

3rd level qualification in mechanical/ electrical engineering or similar
Previous CAD experience
Desirable Criteria

Previous exposure to an engineering environment
Previous experience in welding/welding processes
Leadership experience
