Job Description:
BSNI have an amazing opportunity for our agri manufacturing client based in Dromore Co Down for a Maintenance Engineer.
Hours: 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday
Rate of pay : £16 – £16.50 phr.
General role:
Diagnosing and repairing machinery with inverters and PLC’s
Maintenance of factory machinery including extruders and looms, involving oil and filter changes, general lubrication and running repair of machines. Enabling production requirements to be met in the most effective and efficient manner.
Responsibility:
Quality – To work within the internal quality system ensuring that a high standard of production is maintained through maintenance of factory machinery. Carry out regular machine inspections and maintain records where required. Report all deficiencies on machinery to the production supervisors and production manager.
Health and Safety – All employees must work to the guidelines laid down in the factory and operate at all times in a safe and responsible manner and liaise with supervisors and production manager in creating a safe working environment.
Housekeeping – Maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
Other Duties – Any other duties requested which are deemed reasonable for the post. An amount of overtime work and callouts may be necessary.
Candidate requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Good second level education demonstrating high levels of literacy and numeracy. Some level of mechanical, electronic or electrical qualification to HNC or High NVQ. An associated time served apprenticeship would be desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in an engineering / manufacturing maintenance department essential. Applicants with previous experience of electrical machine maintenance desirable.
SKILLS: Good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate enthusiasm and ambition. Ability to diagnose and repair faults under their own initiative.
ATTRIBUTES: Ability to work well as part of a small team. Good attention to detail. Good time keeping and reliability are essential.
HEALTH: Applicants should be healthy and not possess any conditions which would prove hazardous when working with machinery
