Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Junior Contract Manager to oversee and coordinate contractual agreements within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with a background in management, negotiation, and project management to contribute to the success of our operations. The Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favourable terms.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts from inception through renewal or termination.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure contractual obligations are met effectively and efficiently.
Monitor project progress using tools such as Microsoft Project, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule.
Manage risk by identifying potential contractual issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
Maintain organised records of all contractual documentation and correspondence.
Liaise with internal departments including legal, finance, and operations to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Lead negotiations to resolve disputes or amendments in a manner that benefits organisational interests.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in contract-related activities.
Ensure timely communication with stakeholders regarding contract status updates or changes.
Essential Criteria:

1 -2 years experience placement year can be included
Driving licence
Relevant qualification
Qualifications

Proven experience in management, project management, or contract administration within the construction or related industries.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised tools such as Microsoft Project.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing teams or cross-functional groups.
Sound understanding of IT systems relevant to contract management processes.
Valid driving licence is desirable for site visits or client meetings as required. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional seeking a challenging position that combines strategic oversight with operational execution in a dynamic environment.
