Bluestones Staffing are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our client’s retail stores in Ballymena. This is a temporary relief position to cover long-term sick leave, and may convert into a permanent full-time role.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, all day shifts, usual start time of 8am, flexibility required
Salary: £30,000 per annum (approx £13.58 per hour whilst with agency)
Location: Ballymena, County Antrim
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of colleagues to drive sales and achieve Key Result Areas (KRAs).
- Set and maintain high standards within the store.
- Motivate the team, maintain morale, and create a positive work environment.
- Work on a rolling rota, including weekends, evenings, and late nights.
- Identify and support the development of team members.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance issues professionally.
- Handle rota planning and manage holiday schedules for the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail sales management
- Strong organisational skills
- Team management experience is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Naturally friendly with a willingness to engage and work closely with the team.
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing a team.
- Professional approach to managing disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Competence in planning and organizing work schedules.
